Thank you very much for all of your good teaching and your personal care. I really do appreciate what I have gained from the world of Alexander - so many things. One that I am enjoying is that the experience does seem to mobilize some hidden inner energy.
J.S. Retired Dentist and Clarinetist
I believe that my experience with Michaela and the Alexander Technique not only helped me adopt a more confident, relaxed, and open posture, but also helped me in many other areas of life. Most importantly, I think that the Alexander Technique improved my general well-being and happiness, by helping me focus on the way I do things, instead of the results.
I've continued using AT principles in my daily life and lying in semi-supine almost nightly. And those who come visit me after not having seen me since school always comment that I look taller! So something must be working right.
B.H. Yale Student, now teachng abroad
Initially I came to Michaela with a voice problem I had for over a year that even a laryngologist couldn’t treat. This was particularly of concern as I am an educator whose livelihood obviously necessitates being able to speak for a length of time. As Michaela instructed me how to change my old patterns of sitting and freeing my neck, my voice eventually recovered to its original timbre and quality.
J.T. Teacher
During the time Michaela has worked with me, I have become more aware of my ‘old’ patterns of holding myself or moving. I now find myself sitting differently, thinking differently and enjoying the feeling of ease and elegance after each session.
R.H.S. Therapist
After years of recurring knee problems a few Alexander lessons with Michaela where sufficient to eliminate what had seemed to be chronic pain. By changing the way I use my legs the knee healed itself. I am pain free now for over a year and can enjoy hiking and skiing again.
